Changing brake lights is not a rocket science. Everybody with a little tech skills and a screwdriver can do it. In this article we will tell you how to change your brake light bulbs within few easy steps. You will need a set of 2 bulbs, If you're unsure, what bulbs you need, check out a number on your old brake light bulbs. Bulb grease is will come in handy too, as it will extend the lifespan of your bulbs. And, finally, you will need a flat head and Philips head screwdrivers. Ok, let's begin.
First of all, you need to get an access to the brake light bulb. Open vehicle's trunk and unscrew 2 screws on the light access panel, just behind brake light bulb. Now, gently pull the housing out. If you're unsure how to do it, refer to your car's repair manual. Turn the dead bulb socket counter clockwise and pull the socket out of the housing. Then, pull the bulb out of the socket. Apply some bulb grease over the contacts of the new bulb and put it into socket. Then, place the socket back to the housing. Finally, place the brake light housing back to its place and replace the screws.
